Tasks:

  • Planning, creation and further development of ATZextra special issues and the ATZheavy duty as well as the management of freelancers (as part of a team): analysis / concept / implementation / cross-linking of contents / digitalization / internationalization
  • Editing of technical articles as well as researching and writing own articles on automotive topics such as interviews and reports
  • Content review, control of the external translation packages and re-translation of English articles in ATZ, MTZ and ATZelektronik where necessary as well as translation support for SpringerProfessional Online
  • Creation of enrichments for e-magazines
  • Strong networking in the best journalistic tradition, both internally and externally
  • Perception of press appointments as well as the resulting reporting
  • Contributing ideas on the entire product portfolio (magazines, portals and websites, conferences and CP products) to a professional team and their further development
  • Participating in the editorial conference as well as ATZlive planning sessions as needed.

 

Requirements:

We would like the potential editor (m/f/d) to have several years of professional journalistic experience or at least a completed traineeship and initial professional experience, ideally in print and online-based communication. This should be characterized by:

    • A good knowledge of technical contexts and expertise in, or at least an interest in, familiarizing yourself with the subject area of vehicle and drive technology.
    • A good sense of topic relevance and trends in the field of vehicle and drive technology
    • A distinct enjoyment of writing about complex topics and content in a way that appeals to the target audience
    • The ability to act as a team player and to have a conceptual, analytical and always goal-oriented way of working
    • Very good or excellent command of written and spoken English (proof required) and German 

 

The position is part-time and located in Wiesbaden
