Key tasks:

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts

• Maintain fixed asset ledger

• Reconcile intercompany transactions

• Prepare financial analyses and reports

• Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements Contribute to the development of our accounting system, programs, and procedures

• Support to prepare national, local, and other tax returns

• Drive process improvements

• Perform other accounting duties and support other team members as required or assigned

Key relationships:

• Internal: Other business units, Finance Accounting & Group Accounting departments, Group Tax

• External: Vendors, Tax consultant, Auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

Skills/knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of accounting standard (IFRS)

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

• Proficient in word and spreadsheet software

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong understanding of national and local tax regulations

• Knowledge of SAP (S4/HANA) and HFM a plus

• Ability to work independently

• Team player

Experience:

• 6+ years of accounting experience

• Year-end closing experience

• Experience with financial reporting

• Intercompany accounting experience

• Operational accounting/tax experience with international companies
