【正社員・未経験可】メディカルライター（臨床研究の論文執筆）

inScience CommunicationsはSpringer Nature Group（シュプリンガー・ネイチャーグループ）傘下、Springer Healthcareに属する、医学研究論文執筆を専門にするメディカルライターチームです。本部はイギリスにあります。

私たちは主に製薬会社が実施した臨床研究のデータをもとに、査読付きの医学・科学系雑誌に投稿する論文作成等をサポートしています。今回募集するメディカルライターは、著者の意向を踏まえ、中立的かつ科学的な立場で論文執筆をサポートする専門職です。医学系雑誌編集者団体（International Committee of Medical Journal Editors）のガイドラインで公式に認められ、論文のAcknowledgementにその名前を記すことが推奨されています。科学論文のポイントが分かっている研究者であれば、その経験を活かしてメディカルライターとしてのキャリアを築ける可能性があります。実際、私たちのチームには様々な分野の基礎研究のポスドク出身者も在籍しています。

今回はメディカルライターとして、日本語論文を執筆できる（将来的にでも可）、日本語ネイティブな方を求めています。現在、日本チームに在籍しているメディカルライターはチームリーダーを含めてその約半数が外国出身で、主な年齢層は30～40代です。活気あるグローバルな環境で活躍いただける人材を募集しています。奮ってのご応募をお待ちしています。

■主な業務内容

• 日本語論文：執筆・査読対応
• 英語論文：原稿を執筆するネイティブライターのサポート
• 学会抄録、発表用スライド、ポスターの作成（日本語・英語）
• 著者やクライアント（主に製薬会社）とのディスカッション

【応募資格】

■必須条件

• 生物・薬学・医学系で学位取得された方（専門研究分野は不問）
• 日本語ネイティブ
• 英語でコミュニケーションができる方（英語メール等のやり取りに抵抗のない方）
• 著者やクライアントとの面談やディスカッションが多いため、人とのコミュニケーションを得意とする方（又は苦手意識のない方）
• 社内の営業、進行管理、予算管理のメンバーと協力してプロジェクトを動かすため、チームワークを大切にする協調性のある方

■歓迎条件

• ご自身の研究をfirst authorとして論文執筆・投稿した経験のある方（日本語論文も執筆経験ある方を歓迎）
• 臨床研究関連業務の経験者（職種や業務内容は問いません）

ご経験に応じて、メディカルライターのサポートをしながら業務を覚えていただく、アソシエイト・メディカルライターから開始いただく可能性もございます。習熟度をみてメディカルライター

Job Description: Medical Writer

Key Purpose:

To prepare manuscripts to submit in scientific/clinical journals in the way that satisfy client needs in terms of quality, timing and cost.

Supervisory relationships:

Team Leader, InScience Communications, Japan

Accountabilities:

Project work

To write and edit manuscripts, congress posters and slides either in English or Japanese, according to international guidelines, as well as client needs, deadline, budget and internal quality standards, as directed by the team leader.

Business Planning/commercial

To contribute to strategic publication plans and communications programmes, where appropriate or when requested from clients.

Financial

To monitor own adherence to budget and utilisation rate.

To record and monitor actual time spent on a project against budgeted time, and complete timesheets in an accurate and timely manner.

Organisational

To support team working principles and collaboration within the project management team in InScience Communications, sales team in Springer Healthcare and wider InScience Communications Group.

Any other duties as requested by manager:

Travel requirements

Travelling and attendance at client meetings, new business pitches, scientific congresses and Advisory Boards, on an ad hoc basis, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Essential

Life science degree

Japanese (Native) & English (Business) or, English (Native) & Japanese (Business)

Good team working skill

Good skill to discuss with clients and authors, both in business and science.

Desired

Life science degree in pharmacy or medicine

Higher degree

Previous Work Experience:

Essential

Either below

3 years as a researcher (eg. Post doc), writing experiences of own manuscripts.

OR

1 year in medical communications, pharmaceutical industry/healthcare, clinical research, or medical publishing
