Objective of the role
The academic consultant has a fantastic opportunity to work with several different products and also on pedagogical projects, in addition to contributing important information to the editorial. You will be involved in participating in product development meetings, workshops, ELT events, pedagogical trainings and much more.
Responsibilities
- Schedule Agenda For Future Visits and also Complete What Has Been Done (on Nexus).
- Report details and results of the work carried out, in addition to agenda control (Nexus).
- Contact with external customers (users or prospects):
- Phone calls/emails (receive-make-send according to demand);
- Pedagogical visits;
- Academic-promotional visits;
- Travel around the region of operation;
- Commercial presentation of Macmillan products;
- Pedagogical consultancy (diagnosis of problems/needs and suggestion of pedagogical solutions involving our titles adopted or under analysis);
- Pedagogical training (Macmillan products and partner products);
- Conducting workshops in various areas of knowledge, such as ELT, pedagogy, CLIL, bilingualism, language acquisition and biliteracy;
- Clarify pedagogical or linguistic doubts relating to our adopted titles or issues involving the approaches used in textbooks;
- Development of customized materials (tests, texts, extra exercises, course plans, guidance for the teacher) for pedagogical support of adopted titles.
- Contact with Internal Customers (Sales Department/Teacher Service):
- Assist promoters/supervisors in indicating titles;
- Assist promoters/supervisors in resolving doubts regarding our titles;
- Carry out product/catalog training for promoters/supervisors;
Experience, skills and qualifications
Essential
- Having worked as an English teacher
- Fluency in English – C1 level desirable
- Ethics, Reliability of information, Proactivity, organization and verbal communication
- Driving license
Desirable
- Having speaking as your main skill, as most presentations are made in English
- Basic or intermediate Spanish
- Critical thinking and creativity
