About The Unit

The Data & Analytics Solutions - IT team is responsible for providing the necessary technical and domain expertise required to create and maintain the databases and shared services for our end customers. Our flagship products namely SpringerMaterials, Experiments and ADIS Insight are built by a team of developers, QAs, BAs, UI & UX experts and SMEs, who collaborate to ensure easy accessibility of relevant data. We follow a problem statement and user experience driven approach to ensure the right data is available in the simplistic way for the scientific community.

Years of Experience: 4 to 7 years 

Educational Qualification: B.Sc., BCA, BCS, B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc.

The job is based in Pune where you will as part of Springer Nature’s digital product development team. You’ll be part of our big community of developers located in Germany, UK and India, to name a few.

Skill Matrix:

Technical / Functional Competencies:

• Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features
• Highly proficient with ReactJS framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
• Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms
• Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Good understanding with Materials Designs and Components
• Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack and Git
• Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Should be familiar with TDD
• Should be aware of deployment process and tools
