Global Key Account Manager

We are looking for a  Global Key-Account Manager, Amazon to join our global team managing the sales and performance of products on the Amazon platforms. This role will have oversight for the availability of Springer Nature's vast book portfolio, both print and eBooks.

Purpose of the Role

• Manage the day to-day business for the different Amazon entities with a focus on the key marketplaces
• Ensure availability for our large catalog
• Key contact internally and externally for all Amazon-related topics

Responsibilities

• Manage our global Amazon accounts for print and eBooks
• Achieve revenue targets and support in budgeting and Forecasting for Amazon
• Develop and prepare regular reports & presentations to assess performance for print and eBooks globally
• Work closely with Finance, Logistics & Customer Service & coordinate with Marketing the Sales promotions
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders internally
• Monitor developments at Amazon and identify growth opportunities
• Prepare and execute Amazon negotiations in collaboration with the Director Global Sales

Key Relationships

• Role sits within Trade Sales team selling both print and eBooks around the world
• External communication to include regular contact with Amazon accounts globally
• Internal communication across departments and geographies

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of corporate experience, 4-5 years preferred
• Experience in Sales/Key Account Management B2B Sales is a plus
• Amazon background or experience in Books publishing is a plus
• Strong negotiation & presentation skills required
• Ability to prioritize and work in an ever-changing environment
• Must be well organized, collaborative, and self-motivated
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Excellent English language skills, German language skills is a plus
• Proficient in working with MS-Office
• Occasional business travel domestically and internationally required

Annualized Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and skill level. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
