Purpose of the Role        

Conduct research into areas of partnership initiatives, researching the sector, key players and shortlisting potential partners.

Use their analytical skills to support GDP in drawing up conclusions on sectors and making recommendations.

Support GPD on defining and coordinating the delivery of new partners’ product/service, working closely with the Finance, Legal and Commercial Operations functions to ensure smooth planning, implementation and handover of the partnership once the commercial agreement has been finalised.

 

Responsibilities

•             Research, plan and “test” new products, services or solutions to be implement via partnerships into their organization;

•             Oversee the entire development process of new products, services or solutions within the research process, from the initial planning phase to implementation;

•             To keep track of all the Financial and Legal Documentation related to the implementation of these new partnerships and work together with GPD deciding what ideas are worth pursuing

•             Reach out Regional Directors for further/more detailed investigation whenever necessary for fully understand of product/service

•             Global Director of Partnerships –  line manager

•             Custom Publishing & Licensing Business Manager – exploring opportunities

•             International sales teams – exploring opportunities

•             Other internal departments: Digital, Operations, Rights, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Commercial Operations

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Experience

•             Research and analytical skills

•             Experience of working with a wide range of people at varying levels of seniority

•             Experience of developing, implementing and monitoring special projects and operational procedures

•             Experience of working in research role

 

Skills

•             Experience or demonstrable track record of having worked in a global, researcher role to deliver on business targets (e.g. business development or business growth)

•             Proven analytical skills

•             The ability to negotiate with internal (sales) and external customers

•             Good financial awareness and the ability to create and manage project P&Ls and understand how these input into company profitability

•             Flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing environments

•             The ability to set and respond to extremely challenging schedules and deadlines

•             Team player familiar with high-performing team disciplines and management

•             Strong organisational skills

•             The ability to manage own workload

•             The ability and readiness to make presentations to staff

 

Qualifications     

•             Educated to degree level or equivalent
