Background

Macmillan Education is implementing the SAP ERP system across its business processes.

The system is already in use by its parent company (Springer Nature) and that capability is being extended to the Macmillan Education imprint. To enable the transition of the Asia business group into this new model, a project role has been created to support the migration of sales orders and processes into the new SAP system and to establish some interim process that ensure business continuity.

 

Overview of the role:

This jobholder must bring a very strong experience of setting up and running small but effective business processes, using large systems (ideally SAP) in a sales environment and communicating effectively within a fast moving project across a global organisation.

The role reports to the Asia Regional Operations Manager who is based in Hong Kong.

 

Jobholder responsibilities:

  • Support regional sales administrators to create customer sales orders in SAP
  • Create and run a process outside of normal systems to ensure customer support in the transition period.
  • Create process documentation to support the regional sales team
  • Extract weekly reports and scorecards from SAP for the Regional Sales Team
  • Communicate issues and opportunities to the SAP implementation team in London

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately in creating sales orders
