Functional Architect - Marketing Technology (m/f/d)

 

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Functional Architect to join our Marketing Technology team. The Functional Architect will play a major role in translating marketing business requirements into effective technological solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marketing processes, data flows, and customer engagement strategies, coupled with a knack for designing solutions that optimize marketing operations and enhance customer experiences.

 

Key tasks:

 

1. Requirement Gathering:
 

  • Collaborate closely with marketing stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and requirements for technology solutions.
  • Translate marketing strategies into clear and actionable functional specifications that align with our marketing technology stack.

 

2. Solution Design:
 

  • Design functional solutions that enable seamless execution of marketing campaigns, customer segmentation, and data analytics.
  • Develop detailed architecture diagrams, workflow diagrams, and documentation to guide the implementation teams.

 

3. MarTech Integration:
 

  • Identify opportunities for integrating marketing technologies such as CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and personalization tools.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data flows and integrations are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.

 

4. Data Management:
 

  • Define data structures and flows to support targeted marketing efforts, ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data pipelines for marketing insights and reporting.

 

5. Quality Assurance:
 

  • Work with QA teams to create test plans and scenarios based on functional requirements.
  • Validate the performance of marketing technology solutions to ensure they meet business expectations.

 

6. User Experience Enhancement:
 

  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure that marketing technology solutions are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with branding guidelines.

 

7. Adoption and Training:
 

  • Develop training materials and provide guidance to marketing teams on how to effectively use new technology solutions.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes.

 

8. Industry Insight:
 

  • Stay abreast of marketing technology trends, best practices, and emerging tools to propose innovative solutions for business growth.

 

Qualifications, skills and experience:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven record of experience working in marketing technology roles, with a focus on functional architecture.
  • Strong understanding of marketing processes, customer journeys, and data-driven strategies.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and user stories.
  • Experience with integrating marketing technologies such as CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and personalization tools.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering solutions that drive marketing excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
