As a Reporting and Data Associate your main tasks will be:


  • Support the Head of Reporting and Data Management with the data deliveries and updating the Annual Journal Reports self-service tool - containing data for Sprigner Nature’s ~3000 journals
  • Support the Head of Reporting and Data Management with the Annual Journal Review (a.o. working in a team to prepare Springer Nature's Annual Journals Catalog). 
  • Working with Springer Nature’s Product & Platform Group and Marketing, to facilitate the display of individual journal’s metrics on ~3000 journal homepages
  • Accessing various sources, prepare metadata files for use in internal reporting (Annual Journals Reports) and tools/dashboards. This may include accessing complex data sources
  • Collaborate with Editorial teams on the registration of journals with COPE - and keeping an eye on policy requirements
  • Ensure Ethics & Disclosure pages are prepared for takeover and new journals
  • Work together with the Head of Reporting and Data Management on Springer Nature's (internal) journal master files for use by a.o. Publishing and Sales. 
  • Engage in the continuous optimization of journal metadata (quality assurance, data clean-up activities and validation), in collaboration with other teams and departments
  • Run Springer Nature-wide reports concerning journal contract types, contract expiry dates, and other contractual aspects.
  • Perform other duties as required. 
  • The Reporting and Data Associate will be part of a relatively new team, with many new developments taking place. 


Experience, skills and qualifications

  • Educated to degree level
  • Proven experience in data management
  • Strong attention to details and data accuracy, strong analytical skills
  • Familiarity with IT processes
  • Pro-active approach and good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and committed



  • Experience in publishing
  • Knowledge of publishing processes and workflows (pré)
  • An understanding of the Springer Nature brand values
