Senior Auditor

Are you looking for a role in which you can learn about all aspects of Springer Nature, in which you analytically assess processes, proactively identify risk, and formulate recommendations to add value to the business? Key tasks:

• Performing audits on different focus points throughout the Group and at external partners thereby providing assurance to the executive team and the audit committee of Springer Nature.
• Work closely with the Governance, Risk and Compliance team to align on audit topics and risks identified.
• Proactively drives continuous improvement within Internal Audit.
• Plan and execute audit projects, write audit reports and follow-up on identified risks.
• As project lead, drive the audit towards the quality and time targets set.
• Ensure ongoing efficient and respectful communications with auditees and within the audit team.
• Perform and drive follow-up activities on identified risks.
• Conduct the work in accordance with Internal Audit standards.
• Support the Head of Internal Audit by contributing to the Internal Audit strategy and audit planning process.
• Proactively develops and introduces new audit approaches and stays up to date with current developments in this area.
• Coach more junior team members as part of the audit projects.
• Supports the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in investigations when requested.

Experience, skills and qualifications: 

• While prior experience in audit is an advantage, it is not necessary if the right transferrable skills are given.
• Bachelor’s degree or the level of experience is required.
• Excellent English in written and oral form is required.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, a curious mindset and strong affinity with numbers and processes.
• Likes to go the extra mile to understand root causes of process issues and identified risks.
• Significant understanding of business issues and strategy.
• Need to have skills to manage, mentor or delegate work to other team members.
• Seniority and experience to represent the position of Internal Audit at all management levels.
