About the Unit:
The Automated Conversion and Document Creation (ACDC) team at Springer Nature, Pune is responsible for delivering solutions related to Journals and Production Systems for Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM Publishers) and Education Publishers around the world.
Our teams incorporate the latest technologies to streamline and automate manuscript submission processes (Peer Review process), production workflows, and maintain metadata for our customers; this helps our customers to continuously improve their business response time and revenue stream. Every project is implemented in a distributed agile environment while continuously collaborating with customers stationed at various locations around the world.
The hunt is for a strong Quality Analyst and team player with the ability to manage effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders based out of Magarpatta City, Pune. The incumbent will demonstrate personal commitment and accountability to ensure standards are continuously sustained and improved.

Educational Qualification:
B.Sc., BCA, BCS, B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc.
Skill Matrix:
Manual Testing (Must Have)
Automation Tools: Selenium, Rest Assured (Good to have)
Language: Core Java (Strong Programming skills & OOPS concepts)
Defect tracking tool: Jira (Good to have)
Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
- Full responsibility for product quality
- Support Product team deliverables
- Support QA test cycles to include Manual and Automated testing of Web-based applications
- Debug test failures to identify the root cause and resolution
- Contribute to new automated tests (Pref: Selenium – Java Web-Based Testing)
- Proactively raise technical risks and suggest mitigation measures against them
- Contribute to new automated tests and provide maintenance
- Own and drive the qualification of new product features to include the development of tests, tools, and processes
- Execute testing to support ongoing release cadence
- Report and manage bugs for closure
- Collaborate with Dev, QA, Product Management, and all key stakeholders
- Proactively raise technical risks and suggest mitigation measures
Big Plus
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback on test planning
- Experience with cross-functional teams
Desired Qualification and Skills:
- 3 - 6 years’ experience designing and implementing automated test cases for new requirements as well as enhancing scripts to improve code coverage.
- Strong Java Programming skills & OOPS concepts.
- Excellent working knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and implementing strong quality processes
- Experience testing RESTful services with SoapUI or equivalent
- Test case development, prioritization, and organization.
