Job Title:          Account Manager, Institutional Sales


Location:          Mumbai


Reports To:     Licensing Manager, Institutional Sales

Job responsibilities:

  • To independently develop new business opportunities in assigned territory for all Springer Nature online products
  • To achieve set annual sales targets and contribute to revenue growth in the region.
  • To increase market share for Springer Nature.
  • To make direct contact, build business relations with customers, engage with them consistently, provide solutions and eventually bring in business.
  • To prepare forecasts, sales reports, trip reports and provide day to day market feedback.
  • To contribute ideas and suggestions to help achieve a common goal.


Requirements & Silks


  • Must be a team player willing to work as a group.
  • Strong presentations skills.
  • Prior knowledge of Salesforce would be added advantage.
  • Business acumen is a must and industry expertise in academic and government markets will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively with customers.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from conception to closing.
  • Successful previous experience with consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Thinking out of the box attitude and willingness to learn continuously.
