Candidate can be remote based in Florida or Mexico City.  Remote status within the territory will be considered for highly qualified candidates with strong institution experience and a proven record of delivering results.



The Regional Sales Manager (aka Licensing Manager) will be responsible for further developing accounts in the Central America and the Caribbean territory for licensing on line products and services in the academic, governmental and/or corporate market.


The successful candidate will proactively manage their territory.  This role is within a results-driven team which supports experienced candidates with the tools to manage their territory through self-driven success alongside guidance and collaboration.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales plan and strategies with management to achieve targets and provide annual growth expected by the company
  • Compromise with sales plan to achieve targets and keep quality goals establish by the company for your region
  • Search always for profitability results for the company with you customers
  • Work closely with Marketing to plan actions to develop your region
  • Monitor customers, market and competitor’s activities
  • Contribute to overall company business strategy
  • Compromise to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Manage to maximize sales and increased market penetration in your region, following the sales plan and strategy defined
  • Constantly search for new opportunities and identifying leads (hunt) for sales in your region
  • Be proactive to periodically keep management up-to-date about all of the sales opportunities and possible risks thru sales pipeline and reports
  • Be able to develop and keep professional relationships with key accounts in any level
  • Be able to coordinate with other departments the entire sales cycle to provide solutions
  • Be able to organize sales action in advance, align to the sales plan and strategy defined, respecting all budgets
  • Attend trade shows, sales meetings and industry events as required
  • Compromise to reach the sales KPIs defined by management
  • Negotiate and close business while fostering long-standing customer relationships
  • Produce sales/business reports and maintain a healthy sales pipeline 
  • Ad hoc duties as needed.


  • Candidates should have their Bachelor’s degree with minimum of three (3) years prior sales experience, including direct account management
  • Strong sales skills, publishing sales experience is desirable - track record with a number of proven year’s sales experience in both account management and new business
  • Understanding and previous experience in the Scientific, Technical, and Medical (STM) publishing market is desirable
  • Experience with complex contract negotiations and proposal development
  • Proven track record of year-to-year revenue growth in a sales environment
  • Ability to forecast with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of sales process for the public sector
  • Experience negotiating complex sales process
  • Willing and able to travel extensively within the territory as well as International company meetings, when conditions permit - (30% to 40%, seasonal)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Spanish and English oral and written proficiency is required
  • Well organized and with a strong attention to details
  • Able to interpret and understand a license
  • A team player, able to work autonomously as and when required
  • Confident public presenting to a diverse audience
