Job Title: Data & Reporting Manager

The Data & Reporting Manager contributes to the strategy and execution of our society and partner business by defining, managing, and supporting data needs to improve insights, while refining performance reporting to improve the understanding of the impact of our initiatives. Key responsibilities include maintaining and improving data collection for our society business, developing reports that contribute to the insight of our business performance, and working with colleagues to identify blockers and opportunities so that we improve outcomes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define the data needs for the society and partner business and work with colleagues to develop short- and long-term solutions to capture quality data
  • Gather, prepare, and QA data from various source systems to deliver management reports for the society business
  • Work with colleagues to refine impactful scorecard, financial, and non-financial KPI reporting that connects with our society strategy and highlights how colleagues can respond to insights
  • Work across departments to consolidate current report options for societies into a curated library of reports
  • Contribute to or lead projects, including creation of new reports and collection of market intelligence, that lead to a better understanding of our market and position
  • Manage the tracking and reporting of journal titles to initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and other team members to contribute to a culture that is mutually supportive and serves the needs of our communities


Experience, skills and qualifications:

  • At least three years’ experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite
  • Builds effective and productive relationships with other members of staff
  • Analytical ability and experience solving complex problems or issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate concepts and ideas from both a technical and business point of view
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and innovation across a team
  • Focuses on customer needs and satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and target-based organization
  • Creative, flexible, and adaptable to new information
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of time
