Purpose of the job:

As a Senior Mendix Business Engineer you will be part of a small entrepreneurial teams who work in App Factory concept, developing and maintaining Mendix Applications that are robust, scalable, and maintainable to support the Springer Nature Publishing business. 
You will experience a lot of freedom to work as a business engineer/internal consultant and be responsible together with your team to deliver great solutions.

You are used to work in close collaboration with our business teams, you are not afraid of co-creation and get support from your team members, architects and UX/UI colleagues to build Mendix Applications that modernize and streamline the Springer Nature Publishing business, 
and you will be part of making our Mendix journey a success.

 

Main result areas:

  • Gather requirements, develop prototypes and deliver reliable solutions using RAD and Agile practices.
  • Supporting the Maintenance and Enhancement of our in house developed applications (Mendix based).
  • Development of new solutions and migration of existing applications to the Mendix platform
  • Actively supports and participates in the development and adoption of best practices/standards/ guidelines within the Process and Content Management department in the transition to low-code
  • Being a team player, working closely with Business Stakeholders and PCM team members (Product Owners, Architects, UX, Devs and BA's and QA's) to come to an optimal solution design and implementation·      

    

Minimal qualifications:

  • Academic: undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, collegiate diploma in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in Mendix, preferably having Mendix certifications
  • Experience in building low code applications, preferably in Mendix
  • Experience with Rapid Application Development and Agile ways of working

  • A strong drive to define and implement solutions, with a positive attitude to change.
  • Communicative, you like to reach out to others in business and in the department to discuss and improve ideas.
  • Eager to learn, having a good understanding of Mendix and modern architecture concepts.
  • Result oriented, driving initiatives to the finish succesfully.
