The Corporate Finance/ Group Treasury department is responsible for the financing, financial risk management and all operational treasury activities of the Springer Nature Group. As part of the Corporate Finance team, you will ensure, among other tasks, that ongoing business-critical processes run smoothly and provide support for complex financing transactions.

 

Your tasks

 

  • First work experience.
  • You are maintaining and taking part of the development of our financial model.
  • You support the loan administration and compliance of our financing structure.
  • As part of the Corporate Finance team, you will perform various back and middle office functions in derivatives trading.
  • You are responsible for creating and developing the monthly and quarterly treasury reports.
  • You create group-wide currency analyses that serve as the basis for our hedging activities.
  • You support the team in financing transactions and, if necessary, work on M&A and other corporate transactions.
  • You support the month-end/ year-end closing activities.
  • You maintain relations with external (banks, rating agencies, law firms, auditors) and internal stakeholders (controlling, accounting, legal and tax).

 

Your profile

 

  • Successfully completed university degree in business administration or economics or comparable, ideally with a focus on finance
  • Knowledge of financing instruments and financial derivatives
  • High IT affinity and confident handling of relevant software tools, especially MS Excel and Powerpoint (Bloomberg, SAP, Treasury Management Systems an advantage)
  • Quick comprehension, independent and analytical way of working as well as the ability to maintain a high quality of work, accuracy and diligence even under time pressure
  • Ability to work in a team and high affinity for numbers
  • Excellent knowledge of English, German highly beneficial
