The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team at Springer Nature, Pune is responsible for delivering solutions related to Journals and Books Publishing and Production Systems for Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM Publishers) & Education Publishers around the world. Our teams incorporate latest technologies built upon OpenText Documentum/xCP frameworks to streamline and automate production workflows and maintain metadata for Springer Nature; this helps us to continuously improve business response time and revenue stream. Every project is implemented in a distributed agile environment while continuously collaborating with customers stationed at various locations around the world.          

                                    

About the Role

 

We’re looking for an experienced Documentum Consult who can help our team build new modules and services. Proactive in improving and enhancing the application WF to be more efficient. The key highlight of this role is to build new modules & process workflow following the best practices. The role also offer exposure to web service and microservices using framework like spring boot.

The job is based in our Pune hub, with team members also in Pune and London. We offer a mix of remote and in-office working.

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

 As part of an Agile product team, day-to-day you will:

  • Complete development and ownership of applications modules
  • Optimize the workflow performance & improvise the user experience.
  • Follow best practices and being efficient in implementation.
  • Contribute to ceremonies like planning, dev meeting, brainstorming session, and retrospectives.
  • Develop new features and improve code quality by code review & pair programming with other team members.

What you will be doing

 

 Within 3 Months you will:

  • Get familiar with our technology stack.
  • Get the in-depth knowledge of the product and working on the enhancement.
  • Take part in developing new modules as a member of the tech team.
  • Get to work with web services which manages data on different other websites

 By 3-6 months you will:

  • Be a supportive member on the development of the platform by using the right technology solutions to solve the problem at hand.
  • Have an understanding of the team's context within the publishing business they are working in.
  • Be able to properly understand and discuss business requirements with Stakeholders of Product Owners.
  • Hold technical discussions with the team in order to improve the product architecture and code quality.

By 6-12 months you will:

  • Transform high level requirements into actionable work.
  • Proactively provide useful and actionable feedback to team members.
  • Help BA with defining and implementing new workflow & requirements.
  • Influence the design of the system architecture.
  • Be able to explain and visualize the benefits and trade-offs of proposed solutions.

 

About You 

  • You have Strong knowledge of core java.
  • You have Strong knowledge of Documentum, Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC) and xcp.
  • Hands on experience working with DFC.
  • You are comfortable working with SQL queries and Documentum Query Language (DQL).
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining workflow (Business Process) based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Documentum basics and Fundamentals
  • Demonstrate understanding of Documentum architecture and API’s (DFC, DFS & REST) and perform customizations to support business requirements.
  • Good to have spring boot to work with web services.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical problems. Monitors and tunes Documentum environment to obtain optimum performance.
